The Sun Prepaid MasterCard® can be used wherever you see the MasterCard® acceptance mark – that’s millions of locations worldwide!

You’ll find it’s handy to have because:

  • It’s a discreet and safe alternative to cash.
  • You can keep track of what you’re spending – you get a receipt every time you pay and a complete listing of every purchase you make on your online statement.
  • You cannot overspend, so managing money becomes easier than ever!
  • You can check your balance at any time by Text message, over the phone or online.
  • Millions of retail locations worldwide will accept your Sun Card – shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas and many more.

Purchases are FREE if you are on the Pay Monthly Tariff, or if you are a Pay As You Go customer, they are charged at 2.95% of the transaction value, (min 50p/max £1.50).

  • Identity

When you use your Sun Card abroad you may be asked to key in your PIN or be asked for proof of identity as with all payment cards.

  • ‘Zip Zap’ machines

Your Sun Card can only be used at retailers where authorisation for the transaction is online. Do not allow your transactions to be manually processed using for example a “Zip-Zap” or “Click-Clack” machine.
